PCC – Evergreen Identification Course

For years, Portland Community College has offered a couple of programs and classes for landscape technology, including landscape design and construction, tree care, turf grass, irrigation and more. Shown below, is the night class for Evergreen Identification. There is also a day class. This winter’s instructor for Evergreen Identification is David R. Sandrock, PhD Horticulture. Generally, it’s green industries people who attend these PCC courses, but others have registered too. The tree behind the fountain is Pinus densiflora ‘Umbraculifera’ or Tanyosho Pine, an evergreen covered in the course.
