Back from the Redwoods

Just got back from 3 days in the redwoods. Even pruned a Strawberry Tree for one motel down in Crescent City, CA, early the 1st morning. The last 45 minutes driving to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, follows a river canyon. Stretches remind me of oriental gardens, except that the canyon excels by leaps and bounds, with a myriad of stubby wind-shaped oaks and madrone (Arbutus). This is just above eye level seen from the highway … the river flows below.
