Around the world, mention of “coast redwoods” typically stirs imagination of soaring trees and giant trunks. But people who live along the redwood coast know there are also rivers, ocean, lagoons and ponds. The photo below shows a particular view located just north of the Klamath River, along Hy. 101, between Jedediah Smith and Prairie Creek redwood parks. This pond, according to the map, is in an southern extension of Del Norte Redwoods State Park.
