1st two weeks of April … and the first Cobra Lily flowers extend upward. This particular Darlingtonia in the photos below is not the botanical wayside near mile marker 17 or 18 of Hy. 199. This patch is less than 1/2 mile of Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Cobra Lily and Coast Redwoods habitats are partly intertwined. The bog up Hy. 199 is worth the stop though.
