This December, I wrote a new page about Coast Redwood species having the widest tree trunk known around the planet. Wider than Giant Sequoia or the El Arbor del Tule. The page adds a “footprint” drawing for El Arbor to show how its diameter can become exaggerated compared to other trunks that have a more entire circumference.
At 29.2′ diameter dbh, Coast Redwood is presently the widest single tree trunk. Photos have not been released for all the Coast Redwood diameter champions and this image is being used to represent a group of the widest. The complete write-up is at this link:
