The photo below is from January 2017. A rare winter dusting of snow and hail arrived around New Year’s Day and lingered for several days, sprinkling the redwood coast of Del Norte and Humboldt in northern California. An hour east, Cave Junction got upward of 20 inches snow, but the redwoods got just enough to enhance the scenery.
