The Hank and Florence Saddler Grove is along Avenue of Giants. Headed southbound on Hy. 101, taking the first exit for Avenue of the Giants, this grove comes much sooner than, say, Founders Grove. The Saddler Grove has a unique character compared to many other Coast Redwood groves. Much of it is very open, fairly sparse understory vegetation and plenty of redwoods.

It seems equally photogenic to other Coast Redwood groves that are more laden with ferns, Evergreen Huckleberry or Trillium. I could spend equal hours taking photos in Saddler Grove as in Stout Grove.
