The Pharaoh | Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park

This is a redwood I call Pharaoh, standing along the James Irvine trail between the visitor center and Fern Canyon in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Its not huge or super tall, but the burls are outstanding. It reminds me of another coast redwood in the park called Knotty Lady.

If you make a round trip and use Miner's Ridge for a partial loop, you could see the Gargoyle redwood and Pharaoh on the same hike.
