A Bigleaf Maple called Humboldt Honey, and Western Hemlock called Tsunami. Each\u00a0 measured about 2 feet taller than a few years ago. The latest laser measurement was last November. I photographed the tops last winter and was aware of stem elongation indicating growth from 2013. <strong>They grew even more in 2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These grew to new height records amidst one of Northern California&#8217;s lowest rainfalls on record during a growing season.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I heard some new height data related to\u00a0 Coast Redwoods. I was asked to keep the height numbers on the back burner until they are published &#8230; maybe in 2015.
