Headed southbound on Hy. 101, taking the first exit for Avenue of the Giants, this grove comes much sooner than, say, Founders Grove. The Saddler Grove has a unique character compared to many other Coast Redwood groves. Much of it is very open, fairly sparse understory vegetation and plenty of redwoods.<\/p>\n<p>It seems equally photogenic to other Coast Redwood groves that are more laden with ferns, Evergreen Huckleberry or Trillium.
