Beranek"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Navarro Redwoods and Humboldt Redwoods Avenue of the Giants<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Barely got 4 pages into these books a couple days ago, and decided to wait for my redwood visit a week from now to\u00a0relax and enjoy. But the sample I read was exceptionally well written, and reminded me of how some wines or foods improve with age. \u00a0Gerald (w\/ Mrs. B&#8217;s assist) has\u00a0released some very good publications already, including <strong>High Climbers and Timber Fallers<\/strong>, or <strong>Coast Redwood Tree of Dreams and Fortune<\/strong>. But the pages of these latest books exudes a maturity that reminds me of how some plants or trees look beautiful for many years, but eventually reach a\u00a0point where they produce a certain fruit or blossom that has been long anticipated. \u00a0If you think along the lines of the Century Plant, etc., that&#8217;s what I mean. Anyhow, I&#8217;m itching to get into these pages deeper.
